Tim has been involved in the Australian publishing industry one way or another for over 25 years—variously as a bookseller; a journalist and commentator on the book trade, including a long stint at Thorpe-Bowker’s Books+Publishing magazine/Weekly Book Newsletter; a writer, editor and/or publisher for a variety of books, magazines, newsletters and websites; and as a publicist and marketing/publishing consultant. He is currently the communications manager for the Small Press Network and was the coordinator of its Independent Publishing Conference in 2013 and 2014. He also works as a freelance editor, writer, publicist and publishing consultant for a wide range of clients including book publishers, magazines, universities, statutory bodies and businesses.
